The Olympic Development Program (ODP) is for the more advanced players. They can be recognized by some parents, but to be certain check with your coach to make sure that one is not using "rose colored glasses”. Coaches are normally aware of players that have an exceptional first touch and other qualities.
(Unfortunately this was not the case for Mia Hamm, who was cut by her youth coach. So there is always hope!)

It cost a lot in time and money to pursue the dream but if you don’t try you will never know. Sometimes it is good to enter the fray just to find out how you stand against the competition.

In the earlier stages of the selection process, it can be hard on your time and ego.

So, are you ready for the next step!!
