Our Mission is to promote and foster, in our members, a basic knowledge of soccer by creating a fun, fair and safe environment. We emphasize a competitive spirit focusing on skill-development, respect, self-confidence, leadership, sportsmanship and teamwork.
Detroit Lakes Youth Soccer Members,
In these uncertain times we just wanted to give everyone an update on the status of planning for the 2020 Detroit Lakes Soccer program. The DLYSA board is carefully following the recommendations of the CDC, state and local health officials, and the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association.
At this time we have postponed pre-season meetings scheduled for coaches and team managers as well as the general membership meeting. We will re-assess the situation by mid-April and provide another update then.
Registration for the season is still open and we encourage everyone to register for this year's program as soon as possible. We will be in the best position to plan for a season if everyone can register even in these uncertain times. The next registration price increase deadline, scheduled for April 1, will be cancelled. If you register after April 1, a coupon code will be available on the registration page.
You have our commitment to do everything we can to provide our youth with the best opportunities possible this year to play soccer. We appreciate your understanding and confidence in our program.
Please contact any board member if you have any additional questions.

Despite the advantage there competitors had these 5 players stuck it out and never complained as they rolled through the competition to end up the eventual victors.
