Mighty Strikers - Youth League (Summer)

Detroit Lakes Recreation Program

  • We hope you are as excited as we are to see this group of players on the Rotary Soccer Complex, where they will be able to learn their skills on level, soft grass.
  • Tiny Tykes (3 to 4 years old) Mid Mites (5-6) and Big Beans (7 to 8 years old) are development programs to give each player plenty of touches on the ball (for ages 9 and older please contact the Detroit Lakes Youth Soccer Association to find playing opportunities on a U10 team).
  • The first week we will spend time training the players and parents.
  • Each team will require parent volunteers to coach and assist teams. Teams are run by parent involvement. A Parent meeting is scheduled for Monday June 1, 2020, 6-7 pm, location will be at the soccer complex by the concessions building; to instruct parents on the rules of soccer; hand-out schedules, picture packages and t-shirts; and address issues parents may have pertaining to soccer, parking, safety and the use of the Rotary Soccer Park located just north of Mn State Community & Tech College. Any questions you have at that time can be answered by the DL Youth Soccer Board Members.
