Games held at Rotary Soccer Park Fields Up By Concessions Stand.
Cancelled games due to weather are not made up.
There will be games on picture night.
Your fee includes a reversible jersey and MYSA insurance.
The Rotary Soccer Park is located just north of M State Community & Tech College. Find the map of our complex under the "About DLYSA" tab. You will turn left into the M State parking lot off of Hwy 34, and the dirt road to our soccer complex is just beyond the bus parking garage at the end of M State's parking lot.
Tiny Tykes (3 to 4 years old), Mid Mites (5-6 years old), and Big Beans (7 to 8 years old) are development programs to give each player plenty of touches on the ball regardless of ability, and provide a safe and encouraging environment where they gain a better understanding of the game. Game scores are not recorded and standings are not kept.
The first week we will spend time training the players and parents.
Each team will require parent volunteers to coach and assist teams.
A parent meeting is set for May 24th before summer mighty strikers begins at the soccer complex by the concessions building to instruct parents on the rules of soccer; hand out schedules if available, picture packets from Caulfield's, reversible jerseys, and address other questions parents may have pertaining to soccer, parking, safety and the use of the Rotary Soccer Park.
For ages 9 and older please contact the Detroit Lakes Youth Soccer Association to find playing opportunities on a U10 team.
Join us for our next opportunity to join the mighty strikers program this coming fall for our fall mighty strikers program beginning end of August through mid-September!
Please have your child dressed in their reversible jersey, shorts, shin guards, and soccer cleats each week! Soccer cleats are recommended, but not required. Players in mighty strikers should also have a size 4 ball to bring with them to games each week along with their own water bottle
The Recreational Program depends on volunteer coaches to help run games. Teams cannot function without a coach so please consider volunteering to coach your son's or daughter's team. Anybody can make a great coach at these younger age groups regardless of your experience or knowledge with soccer. Some volunteer coaches grew up playing the game, some have simply watched their children play, and some have never played or coached before. Whatever your experience level - we are here to help you succeed as a recreational coach. There will be two lead coaches from DLYSA to help assist and support teams and coaches on Tuesdays and Thursdays as well.
